15–18 October 2008,hosted by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and held in City Hall.

The theme was Climate Change/Urban Change.

The GLA hosted an opening session on a Thames Clipper, which offered a unique view of London whilst delegates considered the key strategic issues in London. The Conference was, as in Amsterdam, moderated by Fred Schloor.

Presentations and discussion of the theme was preceded by an introduction to EU Cohesion Policy and an address by Professor Norman Davies on the history of Europe.

The theme was given an authoritative introduction by Professor Sir David King, on The Hot Topic, and followed by Dr. Mayer Hillman on How we can save the planet.

A climate change study of London was followed by an introduction to the key EUCO2 8/50 METREX Project on metropolitan climate change mitigation.
