One year after its launch, the project — funded by Interreg Europe and coordinated by the Metropolitan City of Genoa — is now entering its operational phase, with the first concrete results emerging and collaboration among the European partners continuing to strengthen.
The initiative focuses on the governance of metropolitan areas, to improve policy tools through:
- comparative analysis across European regions
- exchange of good practices in the fields of:
- governance and legislation,
- mobility and transport,
- Environmental and climate adaptation,
- management of EU funds,
- and digital transition
- active involvement of local stakeholders through Communities of Practice (#CoP)
- testing of innovative governance models
Where are we now?
At this stage, we are collecting good practices in metropolitan governance across Europe to support the project partners in improving and implementing their policy tools. Selected Good Practices – organised by thematic areas – will be featured in the Interreg Good Practice Catalogue.
