ITC report launch: what are the longer-term impacts of the Covid19 pandemic on transport and land use? 2024

5 March - 2024 , Online

18:00 CET

METREX Vice President Sandeep Shingadia will speak at this forthcoming event from the UK Independent Transport Commission.

Four years ago this March, the UK was struck by the most disruptive pandemic since WWII, which temporarily forced major changes to our daily lives. Although the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic now appears behind us, its imprint and legacy can still be detected in many areas.

The ITC has been researching the legacy of the pandemic and will shortly release its report exploring: The longer-term impacts of the pandemic on transport and land use in Britain. To mark the report launch the ITC will be holding an expert Discussion Webinar on Tuesday 5 March (start time: 17:00 GMT) to review the findings and the implications for policy making.

The expert panel will include Bridget Rosewell CBE (UK Infrastructure Bank), Sandeep Shingadia (Transport for West Midlands) and Professor Peter Jones OBE (University College London).

This free event is open to all those interested in the topic: if you would like to join please register using the following link.
