The METREX Productive Cities Expert Group will meet in November to continue its exploration into making space for re-introducing production in cities.
All cities are supported or stimulated by some form of production. Considering the diversity of interpretation of the topic, the expert group has explored concrete case studies. Practical examples in Amsterdam and in France have been presented with case studies at a building, block and neighbourhood scale.
This meeting we’ll be looking at case studies from The Hague and Oslo, two cities with expensive real estate and high demand for housing, yet a commitment from the respective public authorities to keep production embedded in the urban fabric.
