METREX at 30: shaping the Metropolitan future in Rome
The METREX Autumn Conference will take place in Rome from 11 to 13 November 2026, coinciding with the celebrations marking the Association’s 30th anniversary.
This special gathering will offer an opportunity to reflect on three decades of metropolitan cooperation and to establish new milestones for the years and decades ahead.
The conference will be hosted at Palazzo Valentini, a historic late-16th-century palace in the heart of Rome, close to Piazza Venezia and the Imperial Fora. Now home to the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, the building combines an important artistic and institutional heritage with the remarkable Roman domus uncovered beneath it.
