METREX Managing Committee call for candidates is now open
As announced prior to our Lyon Conference, elections for the METREX Managing Committee (MC) were postponed due to the pandemic situation.
We are pleased to open the call today, 20 October 2020, to recruit Members of the Managing Committee and two Vice Presidents of METREX.
How to apply
Please state your intent to stand for election in writing by email to the Secretary General, Henk Bouwman (henk.bouwman@eurometrex.org), before 27 November 2020. Please submit alongside this written support from another eligible METREX Member. Please indicate whether you are applying for the position of Managing Committee Member or Vice President.
Who is eligible?
Those applying as a candidate, or supporting a candidate, must be from a METREX Member organisation. Unfortunately, those with Observer status are not eligible. MC members may stand for two terms and we are delighted that we have three current MC members who will stand again as candidates.
Timeline
The call for candidates will remain open until 27 November 2020. Electronic voting will take place over the Christmas period and we aim to present the results at the General Assembly meeting during the Nürnberg Conference, 17-19 February 2021.
MC member, what does it mean?
The powers of the Managing Committee (MC) are described in our Statutes and Internal Regulations. MC members do not represent their member organisation, but instead represent all members, and are entrusted to guide the strategic direction of METREX.
