International Scientific Conference “Urban Post-COVID Recovery – Experiences, Challenges and Future Pathways” 2023

26-27 April 2023 , Wrocław

Conference in support of a METREX-supported research project

Following directly on from the METREX Spring Conference (24-26 April, Wrocław), Members are invited to take part in a conference in Wrocław as part of the international research project “Urban Post-COVID Recovery in the V4 Countries”.

All members of METREX are invited to participate in the conference, with specific focus on the discussion panel which will take place on April 26, 2023 (Wednesday) in the afternoon at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Wrocław.

Urban Post-COVID Recovery in the V4 Countries

The project is running from 2022-2025 at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Wrocław with the support of the International Visegrad Fund (Strategic Grant).

METREX is one of the members of the project consortium: https://politologia.uni.wroc.pl/Projekty/Urban-Post-COVID-Recovery-in-the-V4-Countries

The main aim of the conference is to present the results of scientific research and exchange experiences and opinions on the meanders of the functioning of local government units in the conditions of the pandemic and post-pandemic crisis.

It is important to try to assess the predictive and responsive potential of local government administration, which performs public tasks in a turbulent environment, not only political, but also economic and social.

Therefore, the conference will be attended by both researchers – representatives of universities and practitioners – and representatives of the local government sector.

The conference will be held under the honorary patronage of the Administration and Public Policy Section of the Polish Political Sciences Association (PTNP).

All members of METREX are also invited to participate in the work on the preparation of a book devoted to the issues of Urban Post-COVID recovery. The book will be published by an international publishing house with a recognised reputation.

In case of any questions devoted to the conference and the book please feel free to contact Dr Kamil Glinka – Bernard Steinacher Fellow 2022-2023, e-mail: kamil.glinka2@uwr.edu.pl
