We’re excited to share that R-Map’s second scientific publication, “Spatial Implications of Remote Work: Insights from Seven European Case Studies,” is now available!
👉Read it here: https://r-map.eu/publications/
Drawing on evidence from seven case studies across Europe, this scientific article examines the spatial implications of remote work for urban and regional development. Based on primary data from 19 semi-structured interviews, the research focuses on five key aspects: new spatialities and multi-locality, urban development trends, housing and office demand, mobility and transport infrastructure, and the urban – rural divide.
The research offers valuable insights for policymakers, spatial planners, and stakeholders on how remote work is reshaping urban and regional spaces, highlighting the need for more adaptable governance approaches that address new ways of living and infrastructure needs.
👏Congratulations to all the authors whose collaboration and expertise contributed to this publication!
